The Night Before Christmas
While “Christmas Angels” was a success, it led to an interesting conundrum. The collectors that loved the original “Santa” with the children faded back into the beard wrote and asked whether I could do a similar painting as “Angels” with the kids more hidden! Well, the children were faded back, Santa’s eyes were darkened, and a few of the children were changed completely. The hair was also given more of a river-like flow, and the color changed to a cooler silvery blue. The book the two girls are reading near the bottom? The Night Before Christmas, of course.
